On the 3rd of December 2011, Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto will meet at New York’s Madison Square Garden for the Boxing Super Welterweight WBA World Championship. If you are unable to attend the event, you will be able to watch it live if you have an Android Phone.

There are several apps that you could use to watch the match, one of the most popular ones being Dog House Boxing, specializing in all things boxing. As the match is aired by HBO, there are numerous 24/7 episodes to watch before the pay per view match itself. Dog House Boxing is dedicated to boxing, so if you find you enjoy it, do keep them in mind for any further boxing matches as well.

Of course, it is important that you have an excellent internet connection that will not be overloaded by too many users. The connection speeds needs to be of very good quality in order to be able to stream a live boxing match. Of course, you also need to ensure that you do not exceed your bandwidth limits, as this may mean that you get cut off mid match or that you end up with a very high internet bill at the end of the month.

Of course, Android phones are not known for their large screens, but many do have incredible picture and sound quality, making the watching experience very enjoyable. And if you are a true boxing fanatic, you will do everything you can to watch this match, with a small screen being a much better solution than no screen at all.

If you are downloading an app to watch the match on Android, do check if you will have to face constant advertising, particularly with free apps. Good luck in finding a Cotto vs Margarito live stream.

We’ve all been there at one time or another. That awkward moment when you’re in full conversational flow and then the next thing you hear is three very faint beeps in your ear. The conversation abruptly ended as the mobile signal gives way right before cursing at your handset manufacturer or network provider begins.

But have you ever spared a thought for the causes of bad mobile phone reception. What is it that blocks the signal from your network provider getting through to your handset? Read on to find out the common causes of poor mobile phone signal.

1. Building Construction Material.

We all know of at least one indoor place where getting a decent mobile phone signal is somewhat of a chore. For some, it may be a friend’s house whereas for others it may be a shopping mall or a church. But what is it about particular properties that hamper the signal strength of your mobile phone?

More often than not it is down to the materials used to construct a building, rather than where the building itself is located. Extremely dense materials such as concrete and lead can prove very problematic for mobile network providers trying to beam signal to indoor users.

2. Building Size

The size of a building can have just as much impact on mobile signal quality as the materials used to construct it. You will often find desirable signal strength hard to come by in large indoor areas such as hospitals, colleges and factories. This is because the signal has to not only work through the exterior surface (walls) but once inside it has many features to content with before reaching your device.

3. Rural Areas

Unfortunately for those people residing in quieter, rural locations mobile phone network providers are not always convinced of the commercial viability of installing mobile phone masts aimed at improving network signal in such areas. It can be quite costly for a network provider to build a new tower and this will not necessarily mean more custom (from that area) which will usually mean people living ‘out in the sticks’ have to suffer where mobile phone reception is concerned.

4. Multipath Interference

Ever wondered why strong reception is hard to come by in that particular city centre street? It can’t be any of the above reasons because your outside and most certainly not in a rural area.

The trouble with city centre locations is that there are so many signals being transmitted in such a densely populated area that some interference is bound to occur. What actually happens is that two (or more) signals will destructively interfere with one another – resulting in either no signal at all or a very poor reception on both signals.

Points one through to four listed above can be combated quite easily in today’s age. Search online for a device called a mobile signal booster and you will see that for a very reasonable one-off fee you can purchase a cellular repeater cable of boosting the network signal in your area. In most instances these devices are compact and can installed easily without the need for an engineer.

Car drivers across the UK will be gifted thousands of pounds, disguised as parking fines, today as teams of phoney traffic wardens take to the streets in a countrywide stunt being pulled by T-Mobile.

Famous for featuring unsuspecting members of the public in its TV ads, T-Mobile is turning its attention to motorists and traffic wardens to give them an unexpected surprise in the stunt. Teams of actors and comedians, dressed as traffic wardens, have been employed by the leading mobile communications brand to place reverse-fines on hundreds of legally parked cars across England, Scotland and Wales.

Streets and car parks around the country have been rigged with hidden cameras to capture the reactions of unsuspecting drivers returning to their cars. Millions of people are expected to witness the funniest reactions when they are featured in a new TV ad airing this Friday night at 9.15pm on Channel 5.

In a twist to be captured by the cameras, the imitation parking tickets will, instead of a fine, contain a £5, £10, £20 or £50 note and a good day message from T-Mobile in celebration of the launch of the new You Fix plan. The brand will be giving away thousands of pounds throughout the course of today as it films its Parking Ticket advert.

Drivers parking in and around the surrounding areas of Newcastle, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, Bristol, Brighton, Birmingham and Manchester are expected to be most likely to receive the special fines. Over £300 million has already been handed out by traffic wardens across the UK in the last 12 months, with these regions some of the worst hit in the UK.

The main focus of someone who is hired as a webmaster is to improve, monitor and update existing websites. This person must understand the business of each client as well as the industry so they can help to sell the service or product that the site supports. Obviously, marketing is a big part of this job title and so are sales objectives.

A webmaster must be a good communicator as they work with clients daily to troubleshoot problems or answer questions with their technical expertise. A wide range of skills and abilities are needed and updating links to other sites and writing computer codes are just a few to name.

It is possible for this person to also play the role of web designer and they might have a side job of building websites for friends or family members. He can then mention that a Godaddy promo code can be used to save money on web hosting and domains for those who will take the created site and publish it them self. File security is another important concern and so the webmaster must maintain a firewall so his client’s personal details are protected from hackers who try to steal information.

If you’re looking for high-speed internet service in an area that cable and DSL don’t reach, then satellite internet is your solution. It is available almost anywhere in the world, and provides download speeds comparable to your average DSL connection. Unlike DSL and cable, though, satellite internet requires a little more hardware. Before you can start receiving a signal you need a dish antennae, a modem, and two coaxial cables. You may perhaps be concerned about the size of the dish antennae required to let your computer communicate with a satellite 22,000 miles above the surface of the earth. Rest assured, enormous dishes that attract undue attention are largely a thing of the past.

The actual size of your antennae will depend on the service provider you use, and could also depend on where you live and how fast of a broadband connection you need. The fact is that the larger the dish the stronger the signal, so if you live in a particularly remote location, or if you require the kind of high quality connection that will allow you to play complex games and watch live streaming videos, then you are going to want a larger dish. Larger dishes also help to avoid signal problems caused by bad weather. Smaller dishes provided for those who live within the contiguous United States should be less than a meter in width. Larger versions can grow up to a meter and half. It will have to be installed in a location that allows it clear access to the southern sky. Mountains, buildings and even trees can interfere with signal strength. In addition, you will need a modem similar to the one used with other kinds of high-speed internet, and two coaxial cables, one to carry the outgoing signals, and one to carry the incoming signals. Your service provider should send someone to professionally install all the equipment and check to be sure that the signal is working. Total cost of equipment and installation averages around $300, and can be higher for premium service. Look for a satellite internet company offering free installation of a discount on their equipment for new subscribers.

I can’t imagine how many cell phones end up as waste filling our landfills and dumps and for completely unnecessary reasons. I recently upgraded to a new phone and thought about what I should do. Previously I had donated my old cell phone to my carrier when getting a new phone.

I realize they probably reuse the old parts and potentially resell them which is a great thing considering it’s far better to recycle then to just place in the trash. But this last time I had some different ideas. At first I thought, maybe I could use some of the parts. As an electronics hobbyist I fantasized about using the LCD screen for one of my many projects. I even considered selling some of the parts online and while that seemed like a viable situation, I’d both be recycling my old cell phone for the greater good as well as make a little extra cash doing so on the side, I ended up donating my cellphone to a charitable company which happens to take old cell phones, refurbishes them, and then provides them to people and communities in the developing world.

I thought this was the best of all situations and I walked away feeling quite good about the situation. In this sense I was able to make sure a non-biodegradable electronic device wouldn’t end up in the ground somewhere but also was able to provide something which I didn’t need to those who could. I wish there were more opportunities to do things like this.

It was pretty easy to do too. I removed all of my sensitive information from my phone. That is important regardless if one is simply throwing it away, selling it to someone else, or giving it away. The venue I found online gave me simple detailed instructions as to how to send it off to them. I packed it into an old box I received as a parcel earlier and sent it out. They paid for shipping. It was all that easy. I’ve read about various university students using the computational power of old cell phones to provide for many needed services in the third world, even using them to do simple medical tests in hard to reach locations, and while I wasn’t exactly doing this I was doing something I think was about as close as I could. The next time I upgrade my phone to newer version I think I’ll do the exact same thing. I would suggest anyone interested in doing just this to simply go to a search engine and search for Sell Mobile Phones for Cash Online. You could probably find many which cater to your own interests and provide a useful item to people who could use it.

In this video, some of the useful functions of LG’s new Optimus One smartphone are shown off. In the words of Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company: ”The LG Optimus Series is aimed at challenging the notion that one device can meet the needs of many,”

“At LG, we believe in providing people with many different choices because our customers are not all alike. We want to provide devices that suit all needs and simplify people’s lives” said Ahn.

In this treasure hunting video, we can see the Optimus One’s camera, image search, navigation and augmented reality applications. Judging by the One’s specifications and looks, it seems LG are certainly trying to make this a smartphone for both the technology and style-conscious.
The handset carries a 600MHz chip, 3.2-inch 320 x 480 LCD capacitive touchscreen, and the usual wireless package (802.11b/g WiFi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and FM radio). Although perhaps not as cutting-edge as some of the high-end smartphones, it’s clear LG have focused on usability and fitting the right technology, for the right price. With the Optimus One, it’s fair to say LG are definitely at the Smartphone party – but can they challenge the likes of Apple, HTC, Nokia and Samsung?

In this latest video from Nokia, you can see how people are really getting creative with the N8 handset. From hamster-powered phone chargers to a device that actually scores your real-life skateboard tricks as you pull them off, there really are some great ideas!

One feature of the N8 that allows a multitude of applications has to be the high definition camera. With a large 12 MP sensor and Carl Zeiss optics you can capture great images. The Xenon flash allows you to take good pictures in low-light conditions as well. Also there’s plenty of room to store pictures and video with reams of internal storage and a high end media player.

The N8 is the first Nokia handset to use Symbian^3 – the latest version of the open source OS. Symbian^3 has been created with touch screens in mind and supports gestures such as multi touch, flick scrolling and pinch-zoom. Symbian^3 also promises better memory management for faster multi-tasking, which is great news for another reason: the general day to day UI should be a much more pleasant experience to use, which has been something of a criticism labelled at the high end phones like the N97 and N97 mini.

Find out more about the projects and the brilliant people behind the innovative uses for the N8 at nokia.com/nseries or pre order yours at www.nokia.com/n8
